Car vs. Pole in the Borough

Sunday, January 29, 2012  At 06:35hrs. Companies were dispatched for a MVC Standby. Deputy 39 (Martin) went en-route and was advised of a Car vs. a Pole. Crews provided Hazard Control and depowered the vehicle. Ambulance 37-1 transported 1 patient to the Local hospital. Companies went available at 07:09hrs.

Chimney & MVC for the Day

Saturday, January 28, 2012  At 16:51hrs. Companies were dispatched for a Chimney Fire at Kings Garage Rental Complex. Deputy 39 (Martin) went enroute and was advised by LCWC of Flames coming out of the chimney. Chief 39-3 (Keiser) arrived with Normal Conditions. Truck 39 arrived and setup the tower to go to the chimney. Engine 39-2 arrived and went interior to check out the stove. Crews extinguished the fire in the chimney and went available at 17:35hrs.

UNITS: Engine 39-2, Truck 39. Tanker 32, Rescue 39, Squad 32

At 21:42hrs. Companies were alerted for a MVC Standby. Deputy 39 (Martin) arrived to find a Car vs. a parked Truck. Crews provided spill control and depowered the vehicle. Ambulance 37-1 was dispatched for 1 patient to be checked out. Crews went available at 22:20hrs.

Garbage Truck vs. Dodge Ram

Monday, January 23, 2012  At 13:43hrs. Companies were dispatched for Spill Control after a MVC. Deputy 32 responded and was advised of a 3 vehicle crash involving a garbage truck. Engine 32-2 and Squad 32 made the response and provided spill control. 39 Fire Police assisted with Traffic Control. Units went available at 14:14hrs.



     



 

Icy Road brings MVA on 897

Saturday, January 21, 2012  At 13:00hrs. EEPD and Ambulance 37-1 were dispatched to the area of 897 & Gault Rd. for a MVC with Unknown injuries. LCWC advised them of a VW Jetta vs. a Snow Plow. EEPD arrived and requested Fire police. FP Lt. 39 (Neidermyer) arrived to find the snow plow smoking and advised Squad 32 to add an Engine to the Box. Engine 32-2 and Squad 39 made the response. Ambulance 37-1 requested a 2nd and 3rd due BLS. Engine 32-2 arrived and depowered the Vehicles along with spill control. Squad 39 assisted with Patient Care. 3 patients were transported to local trauma center. All units went available at 13:59hrs.



     



 

Truck Assist on 49 House Fire

Wednesday, January 18, 2012  At 09:30hrs the Box Assignment was dispatched for a reported house fire on Red Hill Rd. in Sailsbury Twp. Truck 39 made the response with 8 personal. Upon arrival Truck 39's assignment was to Open up the Roof. Truck 39 setup and opened up around the Chimney. Another crew went interior to the attic to check for extension. The crew on the roof opened up and "dragged" the chimney. Station 39 went available at 12:10hrs.

Truck Assist to Chester & MVC

Tuesday, January 17, 2012   At 13:30hrs. Truck 39 was sent as part of the First Alarm Building Assignment in Chester 69's Local. Truck 39 responded, staffed with a crew of 8. Upon arrival, Truck 39 was advised to fly the Aerial to check for extension. The Truck cleared Chester at 14:40hrs. In the afternoon companies were dispatched for a MVC at N. Railroad & Main. Chief 393 (Keiser) arrived to find a minor crash and held it to Engine 391. Crews depowered the vehicle and provided spill control. Engine 391 went available at 15:50.
 

   


 

2 Runs for the Day

Monday, January 16, 2012  Station 39 & 32 answered 2 calls for service. Engine 391 covered the "Hill" for Gap while they worked at a working house fire in Bart. Later in the morning, at 08:45hrs. crews were dispatched to Redwell Rd. for a CO Alarm Activation. Truck 39, Tanker 32, and Rescue 39 made the response. Upon arrival, crews metered the structure to find a trace of CO. Crews traced the source back to a Furnace. Stations went available at 09:30hrs.
 


 

   


 

AFA & Traffic Control

Thursday, December 29, 2011  At 19:02hrs. Volunteers were alerted for an AFA at Franklin Street Apts. Deputy 39 (Martin) arrived with nothing showing from the exterior. Crews then investigated Apt. 318 where they had a smoke condition upon entry. The resident was cleaning there stove when it started smoking. Crews removed the stove from the apartment and provided ventilation. All companies went available at 19:34hrs. At 19:50hrs. Fire police were dispatched to the 600blk. of Wallace road to assist with Traffic control from a MVA and Icy roads.

Car vs. Tree

Saturday, December 24, 2011  At: 11:33Hrs. Station 3-9 was dispatched for MVC Class 2. Chief 3-9-2 (Harnish) went enroute and was advised of a car that went over the sidewalk and hit a tree. Rescue 3-9 arrived and deenergized the car. All patients were checked out by New Holland EMS. Units cleared at 12:05Hrs.
